We have experienced an increase in requests from our clients for Freelance Environmental, Way-finding and/or Place-making Designers. Our clients want to see candidates with folios who have worked on projects that include: indoor/outdoor, corporate, education, hospitality, retail and more.
These requests range from one day to assist with overflow work to several weeks on project based assignments. The nature of freelance work can be reactive with no two assignments being the same and with different criteria.

Requirements
To be considered for these specialised freelance environmental/ way-finding designer opportunities you will need to have the following:

  • 3+ years experience as an dedicated Environmental/Way-finding Designer (must have!)
  • A solid understanding of documentation and production.
  • Skilled at developing concepts for environments and accompanying way finding, signage, place-making and graphics.
  • Ability to use Adobe Suite at a high level.
  • Willingness to work on site in Sydney and surrounds.
  • Valid working rights / visa that permits you to work in Australia without restrictions.
  • Availability for freelance work and not already in a full time role/permanent role.
  • A folio with samples of your Environmental design work.
  • Whilst not mandatory any 3D design skills will be looked up favourably.
